HOMESTAY IRENE has four houses to choose from.
The main villa is one of the most beautiful buildings in the area and
is furnished for 10 guests.
Next to the villa is a small bungalow for
two guests.
The two other houses are furnished for four and two
guests.
Furthermore on the terrain there is
a kitchen, a
restaurant and two
Bales (relax huts with a roof and no walls).
HOMESTAY IRENE has a Balinese staff
of six people.
Irene keeps her office part of the time in the Netherlands.
The area is so unique, so Balinese, so green so authentic.
There are many different beaches you can visit.
The beach
of HOMESTAY IRENE has the roughness of an ocean beach.
The most beautiful sheltered white beach
(Pasir Putih) is at
5 km distance from HOMESTAY IRENE.
Early in the morning flocks of wild dolphins can be seen right in
front of HOMESTAY IRENE.
In Lovina you can make
dolphin
boattrip s.
The long oceanwaves in front of
HOMESTAY IRENE are
frequently visited by surfers from all
over the world.
Of
course you can go swimming or diving as
well.
Eastern Bali has
many cultural ancient villages and temples
that are worth visiting.
Amlapura has a traditional Eastern market.
You can rent a car or
a scooter to find your way.
Trips by foot or by bike are organised
on demand.
Tourism can be good and bad for local people and the
environment.
Inviting visitors to Jasri on a small scale
creates
the opportunity
for you to share the Balinese way
of life, without
encroaching the
authentic character of the
region.
Our restaurant is mainly supplied by home grown products
from our own garden. On the local market one can find a
great variety of biological vegetables and fruits.
Some advice for our guests
Clothing and sunbathing
On the beach the Balinese people cover their bodies, even when they are swimming.
Western swimsuits are accepted, however sunbathing with bare breasts is not appreciated.
In the garden of Homestay Irene you have the opportunity to become tanned all over your body.
Food
In the topical climate of Bali you have to be careful with food.
Our western stomach is not used to the wide scoop of tropical bacteria.
Leftovers attract insects sooner than in colder climates. This is why we strongly
advice our guests to eat in our Homestay restaurant and not bring any food into your room.
For only 8,50 euro you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Homestay restaurant.
